Boss Jay Chuah is the Founder and CEO of Onsmo Lighting and BigBig Studio Equipment, with over 17 years of entrepreneurial experience in photography, studio equipment, e-commerce and livestream technology.

Starting his career as a professional photographer, Jay founded ONSMO in 2012 with a mission to make professional studio equipment more accessible and affordable. Over the years, he transformed the business from a photography equipment brand into a comprehensive ecosystem serving content creators, TikTok sellers, businesses, educational institutions, government agencies and corporate clients across Malaysia.

In 2019, he established BigBig Studio Equipment, expanding the company's capabilities into complete livestream studio systems, creator workstations, professional lighting, studio consultation and technology solutions.

Under his leadership, Onsmo has developed an extensive range of proprietary products and solutions, including studio lighting, softboxes, livestream accessories, creator workstations and the Onsmo Live Station Mini. Boss Jay also introduced the best-selling all-in-one livestreaming device Cadothy Amaze 5 Pro to the Malaysian market.

Boss Jay has also provided equipment, consultation and studio solutions for prominent brands, personalities and organisations including TikTok Shop Malaysia, BONIA Malaysia, Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Dato' Aliff Syukri, Christy Ng, Fattah Amin, Neelofa, Dato' Seri Vida, Anas Zahrin, Dato' Alha Alfa, MYFM's Jack Lim, alongside educational institutions such as Open University Malaysia and numerous corporate organisations.

Beyond business, Jay regularly shares his practical experience through talks, workshops and training sessions covering livestream technology, TikTok selling, studio setup, content creation, entrepreneurship and business growth.

With the mission "EMPOWERING CONTENT CREATORS," Jay's vision is to develop Onsmo into a leading Malaysian creator ecosystem—combining technology, education, AI, livestream solutions and practical tools that help creators and businesses succeed.
